Smart and Robust
The license plate recognition software finds and reads the license plate in real time. This data can be stored in a database or trigger any action such as opening a gate. License plate recognition is used for parking management, access control, highway tolling and surveillance purposes.
This robust and outdoor-ready weatherproof camera can operate between the temperature variation of minus 40 to 60 degrees Celsius. It provides a maximum video resolution of 1920X1080 with a 50/60 frame rate per second. The focal length of the camera is 10.9 to 29 mm. Installing the License Plate Verifier Kit
The detection and recognition of the license plate depends on the mounting height of the camera, tilt angle, and distance of the vehicle. The optimum height for installing the camera is 10 to 33 feet. It should be prevented from the strong light of the vehicle’s headlight. Ideally, the capture distance should be twice the mounting height.
To avoid motion blur, you can limit the maximum shutter time of the camera. It depends upon the speed of the vehicle and the alignment of the camera. To avoid overexposing, limit the maximum gain of the camera. The horizontal and vertical angles should be less than 30 degrees. This camera can read license plates from 23 to 65 feet.
