XProtect Access Device License (Milestone part number XPADL) licenses one door or access point in XProtect Access. One licence is needed per door brought into XProtect, in addition to the single XProtect Access Base License (XPABL) per system.

This is an electronic licence. Nothing ships: the licence is issued against your Milestone software licence code (SLC) and activated in the Management Client. Perpetual XProtect licences include the first year of Milestone Care Plus; keeping Care Plus current gives you version upgrades and full trade-in value when you move to a higher edition.

Doors (access points). A door with an in and an out reader is normally one access point in XProtect Access; the integration plugin defines how doors are presented.
Can I add doors later?
Yes, buy additional XPADL licences at any time and activate them in the Management Client.
Is this the licence for AXIS door controllers?
For AXIS A1601, A1610 and A1210 controllers using AXIS Secure Entry you use the AXIS Secure Entry for XProtect Door License instead.
