Milestone XProtect Professional+ Base License

XProtect Professional+ Base License (Milestone part number XPPPLUSBL) is the server licence that activates XProtect Professional+, the mid-range XProtect edition for centrally managed, multi-server sites. One base licence is required per XProtect system; you then add one XProtect Professional+ Device License (XPPPLUSDL) for every camera, encoder or other IP device you connect. Licences are perpetual and include the first year of Milestone Care Plus.

Who XProtect Professional+ is for

XProtect Professional+ suits mid-sized organisations that have outgrown one server: schools, multi-building campuses, manufacturing plants, distribution centres, hotels and municipal facilities that need unrestricted cameras and servers under one management interface.

What is included in XProtect Professional+

• Everything in XProtect Express+, plus unrestricted recording servers and devices
• Edge storage and Scalable Video Quality Recording (SVQR) for cameras with on-board SD storage
• Manual bookmarking with details, and sharing of bookmarks and live-view links between Mobile clients
• Multi-live streaming, dual-stream live/record per camera and adaptive playback
• Alarm Manager, Smart Map, Customer Dashboard and Connected Services (with Care Plus)
• Milestone Interconnect remote-site support for later federation into XProtect Corporate
• Hardware-accelerated motion detection (Intel Quick Sync), ONVIF and 11,000+ supported device models
• Encrypted server communication, Active Directory and OIDC single sign-on

Not included in this edition

• Failover recording servers, media database encryption and signing, bulk firmware upgrade, NVIDIA-accelerated motion detection and Smart Wall (Expert and above)
• Evidence Lock, Incident Manager included, Milestone Federated Architecture as a central site (Corporate)

How XProtect licensing works

1. One base licence per system (XPPPLUSBL, this product) activates the management server and the edition’s feature set.
2. One device licence per IP device (XPPPLUSDL) for each camera, encoder, NVR channel, audio device or I/O module on the Milestone supported device list. A multi-sensor camera on the list still counts as one device.
3. Add-on licences such as XProtect LPR, XProtect Access, XProtect Transact and Rapid REVIEW extend the platform.
4. Milestone Care Plus (first year included) keeps the system eligible for the three annual XProtect releases and trade-in upgrades.

This is an electronic licence. Nothing ships: the licence is issued against your Milestone software licence code (SLC) and activated in the Management Client. Perpetual XProtect licences include the first year of Milestone Care Plus; keeping Care Plus current gives you version upgrades and full trade-in value when you move to a higher edition.
