This is an electronic licence. Nothing ships: the licence is issued against your Milestone software licence code (SLC) and activated in the Management Client. Perpetual XProtect licences include the first year of Milestone Care Plus; keeping Care Plus current gives you version upgrades and full trade-in value when you move to a higher edition.

Frequently asked questions

Does each checkout lane need its own connection?

Yes if each lane has its own POS terminal or data feed. A single POS server that streams all lanes as separate sources still needs one connection per lane.

Can one connection feed two cameras?

Yes. One transaction source can be linked to several cameras, for example an overhead and a face-height view of the same lane.

Do I need more device licences?

The cameras need standard XProtect device licences for your edition; the connection licence covers the transaction feed only.
