October brought a group of new AXIS and Hanwha Vision products to camcentral.net, and a few long-running models reached the end of their run. This post covers what is new, what was discontinued and what replaces it, with links to the manufacturers’ own announcements so you can check the details at the source.
TL;DR
- New from AXIS: the D2124-VE Radar with 360° coverage, the X1100 explosion-protected PTZ (pre-order), an 8.3 fps version of the Q6411-LE bispectral PTZ, and 8.3 fps options across the thermal range.
- New from Hanwha Vision: nine fixed-lens Wisenet 9 AI cameras (2 MP, 5 MP and 4K, as indoor dome, vandal dome and bullet), a stainless steel fisheye, three AI public view monitors, and a new generation of BLAZE and WAVE recording servers.
- Discontinued: the AXIS P3265, P3267 and P3268 domes, Q3538-LVE, Q6078-E and several Hanwha PRN recorders and first-generation WAVE and BLAZE servers. Replacements are listed below.
AXIS D2124-VE Radar: 360° detection from a single pole

AXIS announced the D2124-VE Radar on September 1, 2026. It is a pole-mounted security radar built on the ARTPEC-9 processor that classifies people and vehicles around a full 360°, day and night and in any weather.
According to AXIS, it detects objects up to 200 m (656 ft) away and recognises people across an area of 40,000 m² (430,000 ft²), with an average power draw of 14.8 W over that recognition zone. The detection and recognition zones are box-shaped, which simplifies coverage planning for rectangular areas such as yards and car parks. Radar image stabilisation helps on poles and trailers that move in the wind.
It uses the same mounting interface as AXIS Q62 PTZ cameras, so it can be added to existing installations. Paired with a PTZ camera such as the AXIS Q6225-LE and AXIS Radar Autotracking for PTZ, the radar finds the target and the camera follows it. AXIS also describes a double-knock option in which radar and video must both confirm a detection before an alarm is raised.
AXIS expects the radar to be available in Q4 2026. It is listed now as part number 03127-001: AXIS D2124-VE Radar.
AXIS X1100: a 4K PTZ for Zone 1 and Division 1 areas

The AXIS X1100 Explosion-Protected PTZ Camera was announced by AXIS on January 9, 2026 and is now listed on our site as part number 03066-001. It is certified to ATEX, IECEx and NRTL (SGS) for Zone 1 and Division 1 hazardous areas, in a marine-grade 316L stainless steel housing.
AXIS lists 4K resolution with 31x optical zoom, the ARTPEC-9 processor with AV1 support, Ethernet and SFP fibre connections, and 110 to 230 V power. Video-based smoke and fire detection is built in, and AXIS Object Analytics can detect people in restricted areas and check for hard hats.
The X1100 is not shipping yet, so we list it as a pre-order by quote. If you are planning a project in oil and gas, chemical processing or mining, request a quote and we will confirm availability with AXIS.
AXIS thermal cameras: 8.3 fps versions added

The AXIS Q6411-LE Bispectral PTZ Camera, announced by AXIS in September 2025, combines a thermal sensor (384 x 288, 7 mm lens, 55° field of view, NETD below 20 mK) with a 1080p visual camera with 31x optical zoom. This month the 8.3 fps version (03146-001) joins the 30 fps version (03145-001).
The same applies across the AXIS thermal range. Each of these product pages now has a Frame rate option, and both frame rates carry the same price:
- AXIS Q1961-TE and Q1961-XTE (explosion-protected)
- AXIS Q1971-E in 7, 13, 19, 25 and 35 mm
- AXIS Q2101-TE, Q2111-E and Q2112-E
- AXIS Q2802-E and Q8752-E Mk II bispectral cameras
Why two frame rates? Thermal cameras that run faster than 9 frames per second can be subject to export controls. For detecting a person at a fence line or a vehicle at a gate, 8.3 fps is normally enough, and it avoids that paperwork. Choose 30 fps when you need smooth thermal video, for example when an operator tracks a moving target live.
Also new: the AXIS TQ6202-E Recessed Mount (03693-001), an outdoor recessed mount for Q608x-E PTZ cameras.
Hanwha Vision: nine fixed-lens Wisenet 9 AI cameras

Hanwha introduced its second-generation X series AI cameras on the Wisenet 9 chipset, which uses two neural processing units: one for image processing and one for analytics. Nine fixed-lens models from that family are now available. All have a 3 mm lens, IR to 25 m, H.265, a microSD slot for up to 1 TB and a secure element certified to FIPS 140-3 Level 3.
| Resolution | Indoor dome | Outdoor vandal dome | Outdoor bullet |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2 MP, 60 fps | XND-A6014R | XNV-A6014R | XNO-A6014R |
| 5 MP, 30 fps | XND-A8014R | XNV-A8014R | XNO-A8014R |
| 8 MP (4K), 30 fps | XND-A9014R | XNV-A9014R | XNO-A9014R |
On-board analytics classify people, faces, vehicles and licence plates, and include line crossing, area events and slip-and-fall detection, along with people and vehicle counting, queue management and heatmaps. The 2 MP models have 150 dB WDR; the 5 MP and 4K models have 120 dB.
The indoor domes are rated IP52 and IK08. The vandal domes and bullets are rated IP66/IP67, IK10 and NEMA 4X and operate down to -40 °C, which matters for outdoor installations in Canada.
Also new from Hanwha
- XNF-A9014RS: a 12 MP stainless steel fisheye rated IP66/IP67/IP68/IP6K9K and IK11, for food processing, marine and wash-down areas.
- XNB-A8004B: a single-channel Wisenet 9 main unit for remote head cameras, for discreet installations in tight spaces.
- AI public view monitors with a built-in 2 MP camera and person and face detection: SMT-2221PV (22-inch, black), SMT-2221PVW (22-inch, white) and SMT-2721PVW (27-inch, white).
Hanwha BLAZE and WAVE recording servers: the next generation

Hanwha replaced its rack-mount recording servers this month. The 12-bay models go from 16 GB to 32 GB of memory and gain two 10 GbE ports. The 28-bay models move to dual Intel Xeon Silver 4514Y processors. Each is a single product page with a capacity selector.

Frequently asked questions
What replaces the AXIS P3265-LV?
AXIS names the P3275-LV and P3285-LV as the replacements. The P3275-LV is the closest like-for-like dome.
How far can the AXIS D2124-VE Radar detect?
AXIS states that it detects objects up to 200 m (656 ft) away and recognises people across 40,000 m² (430,000 ft²), with 360° coverage from one unit.
Should I order the 8.3 fps or the 30 fps thermal camera?
Both cost the same. 8.3 fps is enough for detection and avoids the export controls that can apply to faster thermal cameras. Choose 30 fps if operators need smooth live thermal video.
Is the AXIS X1100 available now?
Not yet. It can be pre-ordered by quote, and we will confirm timing with AXIS when you ask.
What replaces the Hanwha PRN series recorders?
Hanwha points PRN buyers to the XRN-3220RB2 (32 channels) and the XRN-6420DB4 (64 channels).
